Wow...Maybe she should have just let things be and not have tried having a press release to clear everything up...The frightening part is I agree with her the media needs to get their objectivity back and stop selling hype, however I'm reassured as it's not for same reasons she was bringing forth...did she actually bring forth any reasons...other than it's the medias fault? I'm sure vice presidential handlers are breathing a sigh of relief they don't have to handle her for 4 years.
Kalisa - Hey there! Thanks for commenting! Yes, it's very funny - I love the way Rachel Maddow often presents material like this, with suppressed giggles and razor-sharp insight. :)
Pete - I don't think she could let things stand because she really is ambitious. From what I've read/heard, she actively lobbied for this VP spot and definitely has her sights on 2012. I think she is a megalomaniac, truly. She looked more than a little disturbed in this video, with her hair a little messed up, garbled words, and a pained expression on her face. I think she's just blaming the media so she doesn't have to accept any personal responsibility for her own failures, sadly. Gosh, I sound like a bitch ... :) Anyway, I'm sure you're right that her handlers on the campaign are very relieved to have their nightmare end.
It was very cool to see you yesterday after all those years!!! Sorry we didn't get to chat much though! :)
Oh my, she seriously thinks she has what it takes to run for president...yes she was looking a little more pained....kinda like someone who thought they had it in the bag?....but then found they weren't in the race.
It was great seeing you again. We'll need to be sure we do get together and chat and not after many, many years! Thanks for all the organizing on the car pool. Ran smooth. Big night for you. Passing the baton as part of a step in another direction with your life. Big A+ for bravery.
