- So much just depends on the cards you’re dealt.
- However, it’s next to impossible to win without taking risks.
- And if you’re not alert and paying attention, you’re just going through the motions and tiring out your mousing finger for no good reason.
- You have to think ahead.
- Sometimes – but not always – you can undo the mess you made.
- Sometimes walking away from a difficult hand and then coming back with a fresh perspective and/or a good night’s sleep can make all the difference.
- When you think you’re surely about to lose, some innovative, creative moves along with a good dose of persistence can actually clear things up dramatically.
- Getting a good start is crucial.
- Sometimes it’s good to just admit defeat and start all over again.
- Whenever possible, don’t do anything that dramatically limits your options.
- Always remember the object (goals) of the game.
- Sometimes just the right card will come at just the right moment – but you just can’t plan on it.
- Sometimes what lays underneath is far more valuable than what’s on the surface.

Very good observations! I love those simple strategy games as opposed to all the complicated ones with bells and whistles.
