Cool slogans

The other day I was in a store called Grass Roots, and I saw a number of buttons/pins that I thought were very cool. I honestly don’t know how/where I would wear them, but I was afraid I wouldn’t remember what they said if I didn’t buy them. So here are their slogans, for your reading enjoyment:

“It will be a great day when our schools get all the money they need and the air force has to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber.”

“The best things in life aren’t things.”

“Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of the cancer cell. – Edward Abbey”

“Create the future – don’t consume it.”

And, finally:

“JOIN THE ARMY – Travel to exotic, distant lands, meet exciting people, and kill them.”

You’re welcome! :)

Grassroots is great - both their toronto locations offered themselves as signing sites for that cycling petition I had.

If you want to read something truly annoying, check out Terence Corcoran's "Bad Air Baird" in the post today. Corcoran basically doesn't want ANYBODY ANYWHERE to implement climate change measures because he's afraid his taxes will go up. Jackass.

I refuse to read the National Post, even online. I abhor the points of view they espouse. So it doesn't surprise me that they have yet another column or article attempting to undermine environmental efforts. But I will simply take your word for it. :)
