... If I ever have time, I am SOOOO joining this band that played at the RAW today (it's open to ANYBODY!!!!). So incredibly cool. Tomorrow I will try to post piccies that I took of them today.
And no, I have never wanted to play drums before in my life ... but I sure do now!

Wow, full day today with the Riverdale Art Walk (see post below; I'm too tired to do crazy shit like post links that I posted just yesterday LOL) ...
However, thanks to Barbara (yo Barb!), I have a special treat for your viewing pleasure: an exclusive interview with George Strombolopoulos! George is a very cool guy ... trust me, this interview is definitely worth watching.
Thanks to Barb for the comment on my blog to give me a heads up - and great work!!!! You go, girl!!!! :->

Here is a portrait I took of my lovely friend Melanie. As you can see, she is a very talented artist. Tomorrow she shows her work at the Riverdale Art Walk. She has worked so hard and organized out the wazoo – and she is so excited. I am thrilled that she has seized this opportunity and is putting herself “out there” like this. I will also be very happy and relieved when it is all over and we can put whatever canvases she hasn’t sold in my car and get everything else back in her apartment. LOL

Not much time to blog today, as I went back to work and then had about a bajillion errands to run afterward. But here's a favourite shot I took in my portraiture class recently.

Well, the flight home yesterday was pretty uneventful, aside from the fact that it took ALL DAY.
However, post-trip I find I am not much worse for wear, aside from some puffy eyes and Johnny Cash's "Ghost Rider in the Sky" (his late-in-life version with voice warbles and all) persistently looping through my head.

YOU try having two preemies (one cervically, the other by C-section) and nurse incessantly for three months with little sleep and see how well you do! There is certainly no way you could exceed the amazing job that Lisa has done with these two. When they were born, they were in the last 5th percentile of newborns (not taking their preemie status into account). Now, four months later, they are in the 10th and 12th percentile and are flourishing.
As a sister-in-law and an auntie, I am very lucky.
